Palestinians and Arab MKs scuffle with police in Sheikh Jarrah
Palestinians and Arab Israelis, including MKs, scuffle with police as they seek to clear a path for far-right Jewish MKs in Sheikh Jarrah in East Jerusalem.
Far-right MKs Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich are visiting the flashpoint neighborhood ahead of today’s Jerusalem Day march.
“Intifada, your generation is here,” some demonstrators chant. “Israel is the source of the terrorism.”
The Jewish MKs make it through, as police form a line to prevent friction between the two sides.
