PM associates said to prepare blacklist of journalists for public broadcaster

Channel 10 reports that associates close to Netanyahu have presented “Kan,” the new public broadcaster — which Likud lawmakers are now saying they will move to shut down entirely — with a blacklist of journalists they do not want to see employed there.

Meanwhile, Likud MK David Bitan reiterates in an interview with the TV station he will go ahead and lodge legislation to shut down the broadcaster entirely.

The broadcaster is slated to open in April 2017. The nascent operation has hired hundreds of workers in anticipation of its 2017 launch.
