Police arrest crime boss at airport, 7 others in alleged extortion case

Police arrest Ismail Jarushi, head of a southern crime organization, at Ben Gurion Airport.

Jarushi, who was on his way out of the country, is under arrest for alleged extortion of millions of shekels from a building contractor in the south.

Seven other suspects are under arrest in the case.

Police say they arrested several of the suspects yesterday after following them to an industrial zone near Ashdod where they once again threatened the alleged victim.
