Report: Israel set to partially withdraw troops from southern Lebanon

Israel is set to partially withdraw troops from southern Lebanon, Channel 13 news reports.
According to the network, the issue of Israel’s withdrawal from some areas under IDF control is currently being discussed during a meeting between Israeli and Lebanese delegations in Washington.
An unnamed “senior official” tells the network that the IDF “captured territory in recent days for the purpose of negotiations, to then withdraw from them.”
Under a reported planned pilot program, the IDF would leave certain areas of southern Lebanon and hand them over to the control of the Lebanese army.
