Saudi king orders transfer of $50 million to Palestinian Red Crescent
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleSaudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud orders the transfer of some $50 million to the Palestinian Red Crescent in Gaza, the emergency and medical services society that is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
According to a report in the Saudi-owned al-Arabiya, the Saudi Press Agency announced that the king wants the funds allocated “for immediate needs of medicines and medical equipment and supplies necessary to treat the victims of the Israeli attacks against the Gaza Strip which claimed the lives of thousands of innocent children, women, elderly and people of special needs.”
