The Shin Bet is involved in the investigation into the deaths of a man and woman in their 40s who were found shot in their car in a field outside central Israel’s Mishmar Ayalon community yesterday.
According to Hebrew-language media reports, police were no longer said to be confident in the initial assessment that it was a murder-suicide.
A gag order has been issued on the case, meaning that the victims — parents of a 17-year-old child — cannot be publicly named.
Relatives were said to have told the police that the suggestion of murder-suicide did not fit the family’s history.
