Smotrich: Government must stand by Evyatar deal or bear the consequences

Right-wing opposition MK Bezalel Smotrich says that the government is backtracking on a reported deal to prevent the razing of the illegal West Bank outpost of Evyatar.
“Despite the reports, the government is refusing a continuous civilian presence in the settlement,” Smotrich tweets. “I support the residents and their tens of thousands of supporters, and call on them not to agree to any erosion in understandings.”
“The government must stand behind the agreements, and if it withdraws it will bear full responsibility for the results,” the Religious Zionism lawmaker says.
