US envoy on N. Korea says deal shows US is open
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe US envoy on the North Korean nuclear issue says Washington’s recent deal with Tehran amply demonstrates its openness in denuclearization negotiations.
The Iran agreement is “an excellent example of US flexibility and willingness to engage with countries with whom we have had longstanding differences,” Sydney Seiler tells reporters after meeting his South Korean counterpart in Seoul.
It also shows that the “door is open” to North Korea should it choose to break away from its diplomatic and economic isolation, Seiler adds.
