Horror in Iraq as mother seen throwing her two small children into Tigris River

Iraqis reacted with shock and horror on Tuesday after authorities released CCTV footage showing a mother throwing her two small children into the Tigris River.
The incident, which reportedly occurred on Saturday, showed the woman walking along the al-Aimmah Bridge, holding one child by the hand and another in her arms, before throwing them over a railing into the water.
Authorities recovered the bodies of the children, aged 3 and 1, and also arrested the woman.
The Al-Arabiya website quoted relatives as saying the woman was in the process of getting a divorce from her husband.
