Three people killed in two shootings in central city of Lod

A couple was shot dead Saturday night and another man was critically injured in a second shooting in the central city of Lod.
Police were investigating a likely double homicide after a man and a woman in their thirties were shot dead in their car near police’s Lahav 433 national fraud unit.
Paramedics who arrived at the scene of the shooting were forced to declare the two dead. They reportedly belonged to a large and well-known family in Lod.
A short time later a man in his thirties was shot and critically injured in a second shooting near the same location. A second man in his twenties was moderately hurt.
Police arrived in large forces at the scenes of both shootings and were searching for the shooters.
Officials said they believed both attacks were criminally motivated.
