3 suicide car bombs target Iraq-Jordan border crossing
Casualties reported at Trebill crossing, the only one between the two neighboring countries
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleBAGHDAD — Iraq’s Interior Ministry spokesman says three suicide car bombs attacked security forces at a border crossing with neighboring Jordan, causing casualties.
Brig. Gen. Saad Maan could not confirm how many people were killed or wounded at the Trebill border crossing Saturday.
Trebill is the only border crossing between the two neighboring countries and is in a remote desert area and leads to Iraq’s Anbar province.
Iraqi forces are battling militants from the Islamic State group in Anbar.
