Two brothers were killed early Sunday when the car they were riding in collided with a truck on a highway in the Galilee.
The crash occurred on Route 65 near Mitzpeh Netufa.
The two victims, in their 20s, were from an Arab village in the area.
According to an initial investigation, the brothers’ car swerved from its lane and into the path of the truck, police said. It was not clear why the car swerved.
Paramedics responding to the accident declared the two dead.
“We tried to see if there was a way to save them, but from the force of the crash and the serious injuries they sustained, they were killed on the spot and we forced to declare them dead,” an emergency responder told Ynet news.
