Eilat man kills wife for not cooking or cleaning

An Eilat man killed his wife in a fit of rage overnight Tuesday, accusing her of not cooking or cleaning for him, authorities said on Wednesday.
The man called the police early Wednesday morning to report that his wife had died and he was trying to administer CPR. When police arrived, the man said that his wife, 43, had fallen from “a great height” and had died.
Police found signs of violence on the body, and upon further questioning, the man broke down and confessed that he had committed the murder. The couple were having a dispute, he said, because his wife refused to cook or clean for him, and he had a “fit of rage” and beat her to death.
The man, who did not have a criminal record, was taken into custody. The couple had no children.
