Health Ministry issues warning to avoid Herzliya beach
Public told to stay away from popular Acadia Beach due to glitch in sewer system

The Health Ministry on Saturday issued an alert warning that the water near Herzliya’s popular Acadia Beach has been polluted with sewage.
According to a statement released by the Health Ministry late Saturday morning, the pollution was caused by a glitch in the sewer system.
Fearing that the sewage would spread to the shoreline, where sunbathers and swimmers often spend sunny Saturdays, the Health Ministry warned the public to avoid the beach.
