An Israeli man stabbed a Palestinian Wednesday, lightly injuring him after they had an argument over a business deal, police said.

The two men got into a heated dispute at the Barkan Industrial Park in the West Bank, about 25 kilometers (15 miles) east of Tel Aviv.

The Israeli man pulled out a knife and stabbed the Palestinian man in the ear, lightly injuring him, police said.

He then fled the scene. Police were searching for him.

The incident came at a time of heightened tensions in the country following a series of Palestinian terror attacks on Israeli civilians and security forces that have continued almost daily since October.
