Jewish, Muslim schools in UK enter twinning relationship

Teen students in first-of-its-kind Manchester program will go on trips and take lessons together

JTA — A Jewish school and an Islamic school in Manchester, England, entered into a twinning relationship.

The King David High School and the Manchester Islamic High School for Girls will hold exchange trips and lessons.

The Islamic-Jewish schools twinning project, which took more than two years to launch, is the first program of its kind in Manchester, though there are similar initiatives in London, the BBC reported.

Ten of the Muslim students attended a school assembly and answered questions about their faith during a recent visit to King David High.
