A Palestinian was seriously injured by Israeli fire during clashes near the West Bank settlement of Beit El Tuesday, as dozens of Palestinians rioted in a nearby refugee camp.
The IDF said one of the Palestinians in the crowd raised a suspicious object and refused to put it down, drawing the fire.
The army said the soldiers followed protocol and carried out all necessary steps before opening fire.
Ynet reported that the injured person was a teenager, and quoted an unnamed Palestinian source who said he was severely injured.
