Three dead, six injured in accidents Friday

Three people have died and at least six were injured in traffic and construction-site accidents Friday.

A 30-year-old man was seriously injured when he fell off a building at a Ramat Gan construction site. He was evacuated to Sheba Medical Center in the city. Details of the incident were not publicized.

The incident came shortly after a 50-year-old laborer was killed Friday morning when he fell four stories at a construction site on Hatmarim Street in Hadera.

Magen David Adom rescue crews attempted to resuscitate the man, but were forced to pronounce him dead at the scene. The apparent accident marks the second falling death in Hadera in two weeks.

Two men were killed and at least five wounded Friday in traffic accidents, police said.

A 50-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a car on Beersheba’s Masada Street. He, too, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities named another victim of an overnight car crash near the Galilee village of Shorashim. Aadel Dahamshe, 22, a resident of Kafr Kanna, was killed and four others were wounded in a frontal collision between two vehicles on Route 784 at 1 a.m.

According to an initial investigation, one of the vehicles involved in the crash swerved from its lane.

Three others involved in the accident, all men aged 40, 25 and 19, were evacuated in light to moderate condition to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya.

Some two hours later, a pedestrian, 40, was hit by a vehicle on Route 40 southbound at the Bilu Junction, near the central Israeli city of Rehovot. He was seriously injured in the accident, and was evacuated to Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot.

Police have opened investigations into the incidents.
