A Croatian musical duo will bring their brand of string-based pop hits on November 16 to Tel Aviv’s Menora Mivtachim Arena.

2Cellos, composed of musicians Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser, is renowned for its cello covers, including a YouTube version of Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” that has garnered more than 30 million views.

Their concerts are a playlist of popular hits, TV theme music and film soundtracks performed on a set of cellos. The two met as teens during a masterclass and were both educated at the Academy of Music in Zagreb before completing their musical education in the UK.

Before they became professional partners, the two cellists had at times been considered rivals, competing against each other in music competitions.

Šulić and Hauser have released five albums with Sony Masterworks and will bring their brand of classical pop music to Tel Aviv as part of their 2022 world tour.

Tickets start at NIS 249 and are available through Eventim.
