A six-year-old girl was killed Saturday and a boy, 9, was seriously injured when their car overturned in southern Israel, near the city of Eilat.
The crash occurred on Route 90, some 33 kilometers (20 miles) north of the resort town on the Red Sea.
The driver, in his early 40s, was moderately injured.
No other vehicle was involved in the crash, police said, and the cause was not immediately clear.
The wounded were airlifted to Beersheba’s Soroka Medical Center.

Earlier in the day, a five-year-old boy was seriously wounded when a quad bike he was riding overturned in the Negev. He was also airlifted to a hospital.
In the morning two men in their 20s were seriously wounded in two separate accidents: one crashed his car into a fence in Haifa, while the other lost control of his motorcycle and crashed near Kfar Saba.
