4 IDF soldiers lightly wounded in first ground battle with Hamas
Four IDF soldiers are lightly wounded in the first ground battle with Hamas since the start of fighting on Tuesday. Three Hamas fighters are killed in the exchange, according to Palestinian sources.
According to Army Radio, an IDF ground force entered the Gaza Strip tonight to strike at a rocket launching site near Gaza City, in the northern part of the Strip.
The force encountered Hamas fighters, and a firefight ensued, the station reports.
The wounded IDF soldiers are now evacuated to a hospital inside Israel.
According to the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit, the target of the operation has been destroyed.
