Army preparing for ground offensive, IDF says

IDF Spokesman Brig.-Gen. Moti Almoz says the troops are preparing for a ground offensive that will be launched as soon as it receives government approval.

“Hamas is exhibiting clear signs of great pressure,” he says. “The results of the past days are clear. The situation, as of now, indicates there is great damage in Gaza, and the citizens of Gaza will have serious questions for Hamas in the future.”

“We will continue to act and attack in the coming hours with all the means at our disposal. At the same time, we are preparing the ground incursion which will be implemented the moment the political leadership decides to [move it forward],” Almoz says.
