Army says exposed Hezbollah tunnel much larger than Hamas passages in Gaza
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe Israeli military says the tunnel exposed today was dug from a home in the Lebanese village of Kafr Kila and extended some 40 meters into Israeli territory.
The army says in total the tunnel was 200 meters long and was two meters tall by two meters wide, significantly larger than most of the tunnels dug by the Hamas terror group in Gaza.
According to the IDF, the tunnel took over two years to dig — likely due to the harsh terrain along the border — and contains electrical and communication lines.
