Boulder JCC receives letter with white powder

The Jewish community center in Boulder, Colorado, evacuated its building after an employee received a threatening letter containing unidentified white powder.

The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office said the letter, opened Monday morning, said “your [sic] have enemies,” several local media outlets reported.

Employees who came in contact with the letter have been put under quarantine. The local health department, fire department and Hazmat team are on the scene.

The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office later determined that the white powder in the letter was “benign” and not harmful to humans. In addition, a Boulder synagogue, Congregation Har HaShem, reported that it had just received a similar letter.
