The rate of positive COVID tests rises to 21.17%, according to the latest Health Ministry statistics, with 7,783 testing positive yesterday — the highest one-day caseload since March 2.
Overall there are 43,630 active cases in the country, with 331 serious cases and 143 of those on ventilators.
A day earlier the positivity rate was just under 16%, and on Tuesday it was just under 11%.
Authorities have warned that cases could continue to rise following last week’s Purim holiday, and ahead of Passover in mid-April.
