The Defense Ministry says it has activated a plan to assist in the evacuation of civilians under rocket attacks.

The ministry’s National Emergency Management Authority — also known by its Hebrew acronym RAHEL — says the plan is ready to go if towns along the border with the Gaza Strip wish to use it.

Residents of such towns would be taken to Defense Ministry-run facilities to host them amid major fighting.
