Dutch carrier KLM to resume Tel Aviv-Amsterdam route from September 28

Dutch carrier KLM will resume flight services to and from Israel on September 28, after suspending operations over security concerns in June.

After a one-year absence, the airline had only just resumed its Tel Aviv-Amsterdam route when it canceled it again on June 13 due to the closure of Israel’s airspace following Israeli strikes on Iran’s nuclear and military infrastructure and Iranian missile and drone barrages.

The airline will operate the Tel Aviv-Amsterdam route once daily with a Boeing 737-900, which seats 188 passengers.

For the time being, the flight time will be extended by about an hour to include a brief stop in Larnaca, Cyprus, in order to switch out crew members who are concerned about being in Israel for prolonged periods amid the ongoing war.
