Israeli Ambassador to the UN Gilad Erdan says that he prevented the UN Security Council from issuing a statement condemning Israel over the current Gaza military operation.

“We succeeded in stopping a proposal in the UN Security Council to publish a statement condemning Israel,” Erdan tells Army Radio. “The hearing last night ended with nothing.”

Erdan adds that he thinks it is a mistake for US President Joe Biden not to invite Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House, but suggests that it could have more to do with “internal politics.”
