German man attacked for Israeli flag pin, pro-Israel group says
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA 65-year-old man in Germany was attacked and kicked in the head after an argument over an Israeli flag pin he was wearing, a German pro-Israel group says in a statement.
The German–Israeli Society says in the statement that one of its members in the city of Würzburg was approached overnight Sunday-Monday by a man who remarked about the pin and then attacked him. The statement says the attacker kicked the man in the head and body while he was on the ground.
The statement says passersby called the police, who stopped the attack, and that the victim is in stable condition.
The society’s president, Volker Beck, expresses shock over the incident and condemns it.
