Hamas ask Gazans to ignore Israeli warnings

“We are asking the courageous residents of Gaza not to follow the directives of the Israeli occupation army on leaflets that it dropped from the air and in telephone messages,” Hamas spokesman Eyad al-Bazam writes to residents on Facebook, according to Israeli news site NRG.

“To the residents of Beith Lahiya, the IDF intends to attack from the air terrorist networks and terrorist operatives in the area east of al-Atatra and al-Salatin Street and to the west and north of Jabaliya,” leaflets dropped overnight by the IDF read.

The IDF leaflets further advises “residents to evacuate their homes by noon [Sunday] 13/07/2014 and head south to Jabaliyah by way of Fallujah Street. The operation is meant to be temporary and short. Those who do not comply will be risking their lives and their families’.”
