The Hamas-run Health Ministry in the Gaza Strip says 13 people have been killed and 114 wounded in Israeli airstrikes on the enclave which began yesterday.

The officials do not say how many of those killed were terror group operatives.

The ministry says a 5-year-old girl is among the dead.

Also among those killed is Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s northern Gaza commander Tayseer Jabari, who was targeted in a strike on his apartment on Friday. The Israel Defense Forces says the senior terror leader was targeted when it became clear that an attack he orchestrated was to take place imminently.

The Israel Defense Forces says a number of operatives from PIJ are among those killed in the multiple waves of strikes which have been targeting positions and facilities belonging to the terror group in the Gaza Strip.

Terrorists have fired over 200 rockets toward Israel since yesterday afternoon, according to estimates.
