The Hamas-run Gaza health ministry says the death toll from reported gunfire on a crowd heading to an aid site has climbed to 31.
The toll cannot be verified and does not differentiate between civilians and fighters.
The IDF earlier did not deny that gunfire was carried out, but said it was unaware of any injuries caused.
