Herzog mourns ex-BoI chief Stanley Fischer: ‘A world-renowned professional with a heart of gold’

President Isaac Herzog eulogizes Prof. Stanley Fischer, the former Bank of Israel governor who has died at age 81.

“Fischer made a great contribution to the Israeli economy and to its impressive resilience and good name around the world,” Herzog writes on X.

“He was a world-renowned professional with a heart of gold. A lover and pursuer of peace. A good friend whom we will always remember. May his memory be blessed.”
