Herzog speaks with US VP Harris, who stresses Israel’s right to defense

President Isaac Herzog speaks with US Vice President Kamala Harris.
According to Herzog’s office, Harris sends her condolences to the Israeli people, and stresses Israel’s right to defend itself.
She says that the US will stand by Israel’s side throughout the war.
Herzog tells Harris that Israel will deal harshly with Hamas.
Yesterday, Harris tweeted: “Doug’s and my prayers are with the victims of the heinous terrorist attacks in Israel,” adding that her “support for Israel’s security is unwavering.”
