Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv says the condition of the Arab man beaten by a Jewish mob in Bat Yam yesterday has improved.

The 33-year-old man, whose beating was caught live on national television and sparked outraged responses from Israeli leaders, is now in moderate condition.

He received stitches to his face and inside his mouth, the hospital says, and will be transferred this morning to the hospital’s general ICU for recovery.
