Iran’s top negotiator and parliament speaker, Mohammad Ghalibaf, warns against targeting Iranian infrastructure after US President Donald Trump vowed continued strikes on the Islamic Republic this evening, saying such attacks will create an “endless quagmire” of conflict.

“Wrong strategies and impulsive decisions will reset the entire board for the worse, explode energy infrastructure and markets and create an endless quagmire that you will be stuck in for years,” Ghalibaf writes on X.

“You will see a different Iran,” he adds.

Despite the recent escalation, neither the US or Iran has formally disavowed negotiations for a deal, which Trump has said for weeks are nearly complete.
