Iraqi PM reportedly says Islamic State ‘verging on collapse’
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleIraqi Prime Minister Haider al–Abadi says Islamic State is “on the verge of total collapse.”
According to Israel Radio, the Iraqi PM held a press conference in the city of Irbil after meeting Kurdish leader Masoud Barazani and says that in the last battles in Tikrit “IS fighters fled like blocks of salt” and that Iraqi forces were surprised at how quickly they surrendered.
