Iron Dome intercepts rockets over Ashdod, Rishon Letziyon

Rockets are intercepted over the cities of Ashdod and Rishon Letziyon.

The Iron Dome missile-defense system downs multiple rockets over Israeli cities, authorities report, following a barrage from Gaza that began Sunday at 6 a.m.

Police are also repeating their warnings this morning not to approach or touch fallen rockets. Rockets that are felled by Iron Dome may still be dangerous. Iron Dome throws them off course, but does not always succeed in detonating their warhead. Anyone who finds a fallen rocket is asked to call the police so that trained sappers can safely remove the warhead.
