Netanyahu confirmed by Knesset as defense minister
The Knesset has approved Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as permanent defense minister, by a vote of 61 to 59.
Netanyahu has been acting defense minister since Avigdor Liberman quit the post and pulled his Yisrael Beytenu party out of the government last month.
