Remand of driver suspected of killing 13-year-old boy extended
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA judge at the Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court extends by six days the remand of the suspect who ran over Eylon Amsalam last Thursday night, killing the 13-year-old boy while he was waiting to cross the street at a Tel Aviv intersection.
The judge states there is a concern that the suspect, 23-year-old, Eli Bar Zakai had tampered with the investigation. Bar Zakai, who police say was drunk at the time of the accident, has not been cooperating with authorities in the investigation.
