Report: US has allowed some tankers from Qatar to cross Hormuz despite payments to Iran
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleDozens of oil and liquefied natural gas tankers passed through the Strait of Hormuz during the past week, some of them accompanied by the US Navy, after Iran and its Revolutionary Guard gave their okay and in some cases were paid for the passage, the Israel Hayom outlet reports, citing three unnamed diplomatic and intelligence sources.
The Israeli report says many of the vessels were carrying oil and gas from Qatar and heading toward East Asia — mostly to India and China — or Europe.
