Several hours ahead of the funeral of Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, many major roads in central Israel have already been shut down and train stations around the country are packed with travelers heading to the funeral.

Hundreds of schools and pre-schools have been shut down ahead of the funeral proceedings in Bnei Brak, which are expected to draw hundreds of thousands of mourners. A portion of the Route 4 major highway has been shut to all traffic.

Photos and video on social media show major overcrowding at the train station in Jerusalem as thousands of ultra-Orthodox men make their way to the funeral. Israel Rail issued a call for people to avoid unnecessary travel due to the overcrowding.
