Saturday is bloodiest day for Gaza since start of fighting

According to a tally by AFP, Saturday marks the bloodiest day for Gaza since the start of the latest round of fighting last Tuesday, July 8.

According to the tally, 46 Palestinians are dead from Israeli airstrikes on Saturday. Hamas, which rules the Strip, has upped its rocket launches on Israeli cities, including a volley of ten rockets on Tel Aviv at 9 p.m. Saturday. The escalation is followed by a flurry of Israel Air Force strikes on a long list of Hamas targets in the Strip.

An estimated 157 Palestinians have been killed since the start of the fighting.
