The Israel Defense Forces says it has carried out 1,220 attacks against targets in Gaza since the start of fighting on July 8.
The number includes airstrikes and bombardment from naval ships off-shore.
The strikes targeted 632 rocket launchers, 130 military installations and 97 senior Hamas and Islamic Jihad operatives. Tunnels were struck 220 times.
The army also counts the number of Gaza rockets shot down over Israeli towns. That number so far: 108. (It is worth remembering that Iron Dome can track a rocket’s trajectory, and only fires when a rocket is headed to a populated area. Most rockets from Gaza miss the country’s population centers.)
