Incoming rocket sirens are sounding in the Lachish area near Ashkelon and in Israeli towns throughout the south.

Several Iron Dome interceptor missiles are seen engaging incoming rockets over southern Israel in at least two separate barrages from Gaza.

There is no immediate confirmation from the Israel Defense Forces on how many rockets were launched from Gaza and if they were intercepted.

The apparent rocket attack comes hours after the IDF launched Operation Breaking Dawn against the Islamic Jihad terror group in the Gaza Strip.
