Three more Gazans have died due to malnutrition or starvation in the past 24 hours, according the Hamas-run health ministry in the Strip, bringing the total of such deaths since the beginning of the war to 303, including 117 children.

UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric, who cites the figure during a daily press briefing, says that Palestinians living in Gaza City’s Ad Daraj and Ash Sheikh Radwan neighborhoods have been ordered to evacuate, raising the total number of displaced people from northern Gaza since August 14 to 36,200.

Dujarric says Gaza hospitals are warning of a severe shortage of blood units. “With many patients critically injured by hostilities, more blood is needed to save lives, yet community donations have plummeted due to famine and malnutrition,” he says.

The UN spokesperson says six of the 12 UN missions to transfer humanitarian aid through Gaza yesterday were either canceled or only partially accomplished due to Israeli restrictions.
