US President Donald Trump’s peace envoy to the Middle East, Jason Greenblatt, condemns the “despicable” behavior of the Hamas terrorist group for holding two Israeli civilians and the bodies of two IDF soldiers.
After meeting with the families, Greenblatt on Twitter condemns the “unbearable pain as a result the shameful, despicable acts of Hamas.”

“All Israelis must be returned & I pray for their families,” Greenblatt posts.
Hamas is currently holding the remains of IDF soldiers Staff Sgt. Oron Shaul and Lt. Hadar Goldin, who the army says were killed in the 2014 Gaza war, and is also believed to be detaining Avraham Mengistu and Juma Ibrahim Abu Anima, two Israeli men who crossed into Gaza of their own accord.
