UK to carry out surveillance flights over Gaza and Israel to help locate hostages

The United Kingdom will carry out surveillance flights over the Gaza Strip and Israel as part of efforts to locate hostages taken by Hamas and other Palestinian terror groups on October 7, Sky News reports.

The British Defense Ministry tells the network that the surveillance aircraft “will be unarmed, do not have a combat role, and will be tasked solely to locate hostages.”

“Only information relating to hostage rescue will be passed to the relevant authorities responsible for hostage rescue,” the ministry is quoted as saying.
