The US military says unidentified remains were located at the site of an Iranian ballistic missile attack in Jordan on Friday, where two US soldiers were killed, and one was declared missing in action.

“After a thorough search, US military personnel found unidentified remains at the location earlier today. An examination process to verify the remains is ongoing,” the US Central Command says.

In a separate incident, CENTCOM announces that a US servicemember was killed in northern Iraq on Saturday, “during a controlled detonation of unexploded ordnance from a downed Iranian one-way attack drone.”

A second American soldier suffered a minor injury from that incident, CENTCOM adds.
