White House says US has sent Iran ‘detailed and acceptable proposal’ for nuke deal
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleWhite House press secretary Karoline Leavitt says US President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff has sent the Iranian regime a “detailed and acceptable proposal” for a nuclear deal, “and it’s in their best interest to accept it.”
“President Trump has made it clear that Iran can never obtain a nuclear bomb,” Leavitt says in a statement, confirming that the US proposal has been communicated to Iran. She declines to provide further details.
Trump said on Friday that an Iran deal was possible in the “not-too-distant future.”
